Aldi do a version of wheetabix minis (they are round, but cant remember the name).... they are ok, but i warn you now not as good as the real deal.

edit here you go.....

the good news is looking at price tracker they have only gone up 1p in the last year. Better than the aldi chicken burgers i sometimes buy (guilty pleasure) which are up 70% from 99p to £1.69

does that ever work? perhaps our local stores are just better at restocking what they do actually have in the back - or maybe they are too lazy to go look when asked - but when ever i ask that i get sorry no, its not out because we do not have it.

*sometimes* i get very lucky and the product will be on one of the metal wheelie things in the middle of the isle awaiting unloading....... the last time i saw the fresh fruit section as empty as it was over the last weekend was at the start of the pandemic just before lockdown

When I worked in a supermarket many years ago, it basically meant we couldn't be arsed to go and look.

gotta argue that point......

i love a raisin (but i admit i am wishing they were sultanas when eating them)

ever remember fuses? i dont think you get them any more.....

Discontinued years ago, but apparently still available in India of all places...

You keep posting this, you realise most modern supermarkets work to JIT and the only excess stocks are the ones that sit above the shelves themselves?

Part of the problem when we had covid was that with limited storage even if stocks were available things like toilet roll take up so much space they couldn't have loads of cages of the "out the back"

My local tesco, an extra only built 2015 or so had to literally put a frozen shipping container in the carpark as they needed the space (you an blame bad planning but it is what it is they prefer more "shop" to holding loads of stock "out the back")
