As ever, I shall be going to La Clusaz or Chamonix. My father lives in Annecy (Haute-Savoie) so it's cheap and easy for me. Boarding or Skiing for me, not fussed.

Hopefully Austria in feb/march but Norway also looks good. Can only really afford around £400 but im sure their is somewhere reasonable for that price.

where are good places to go on your own in europe?

Head to Val Thorens in the Three Valleys (France) IMO, known a few people go on their own, and they have always managed to either find a group to hang around with, or tagged onto the tour operators groups :)

Not too expensive either, we are only paying £330~ per person (before transfer and food), should come to around £500 all in.

EDIT: Just seen below, the boarding is great in Val Thorens and the rest of the Three Valleys, the snowparks are just awesome, and there is a decent amount of bordercross.

The nightlife is also suitably entertaining and fun :)

Which country is the three valleys in?

I've just edited a bit more detail, its in France mate :)

Highest resort in Europe, so good snow is usually guarenteed. With a Three Valleys lift pass, its also the biggest skiing network in Europe :)

I'd personally stay in Val Thorens. Courchevel is great, but very expensive, Les Menuires is more Family orientated, and Meribel doesn't have the nightlife (IMO).

thanks paradigm :)

*** is the best operator to go with pricewise. I know of crystalski, first choice and thomson. Thanks again :)
