All of you with AOL problems try this;
https://www.opendns.com/start
this worked
guess aols dns servers just suck
Can anyone recommend me a good, fast and reliable ISP?
I called up today for the first time after a month of a degrading service. It started with dropoputs and more recetly has gone on to a number of sites being blocked and finally being unable to logon at all!
They said that there has been problems a a result of switching everyone to new servers but that in my case the switch was complete and everyting should be OK. However, I may need to change some settings to get it to work probably. I don't beleive this for one minute but am prepared to give it a go when I call them back this PM. Th3e chap was talking about DUN servers or something? I really can't see how changing the settings will help as I have reinstalled everything already. I also don't use AOL 9 and just conect directly.
I will let you know how it goes. If they can't sort it out there and then I am going to go the MAC route.
Where does he live? As I mention in my post above AOL told me that mine SHOULD be back to normal but it is not. I am in London.
