I used to have one on the back of my hand in my late teens about this size.

no hotlinking

After hitting it with a atlas book spine it went away completely until recently - I'm now 32 (today infact). I can feel the hard lump below my skin again but to the eye I can't make out the lump very well. However, its hurting like hell, when I bend my wrist downwards.

Has anyone had/has one? Did you get it removed? If not, does it keep coming back and causing pain?

Go to your doctors and they'll drain it. Unfortunately, it's not always a permanent solution though, so if you want to get rid of it forever you'll have to consider surgery.

Old school docs swear by smacking them with a Bible...Wouldn't get away with that nowadays!

Go see your GP, does it hurt more when moving it? Does it feel stiff? Any family history of arthritis, osteo or rheumatoid?

Ibuprofens good for joint pain if you haven't got asthma, but make sure you don't have any on an empty stomach

I used to have one, or I assume that's what it was, I never got it looked at by a doctor.

Used to look like it was jumping around if I moved my hand side to side.

Yeah it hurts when moving or if I bend my wrist fully. My hand kinda feels numb/dead sometimes.

I might do some home DIY on it tonight - or just chop my hand off.

Had one....oof maybe 10 years ago. Proper little bundle of joy on my wrist which started restricting movement, slightly sore/tired feeling constantly.

Got it syringed out, not had a problem since, though I do know that they have a tendency of re-appearing. Wasnt too painful at all, though the sound of the needle breaking though into the contents was not pleasant, kinda gristly sound iirc.

Fun fun :)

Don't hit it with a book if you don't want to risk damaging your wrist.:p

I once sterilised a pin and stuck it in my hand as hard as I could but it didn't even do anything (not recommended!). I've just lived with it now or about 5 years. :p

1 doctor thought I had 1 on the bottom of my foot, went to an orthopaedic surgeon and he said he doesn't think it is, but doesn't actually know what it is. But instead of doing a scan on it he just wants to just cut it out, went in nearly a month ago and haven't heard anything back yet.

NHS really is a POS, but I can't afford to go private and pay over £2000 to get it fixed.
