So my 2nd rig is a Ryzentosh MITX, that sits under my 1440p 165hz monitor at the desk, has a 3600 Non X in, was thinking of getting a 6700 XT. Tried a 5700 XT and it was stupidly loud/major coil wine and not very good FPS.
Just wondering IF I'd get an FPS increase in CS2 if I made the jump to a 5600x?
I hear it's a CPU intensive game, yet any footage I see on the same or higher hardware, the CPU barely ever seems to be above 46%, even with a 6700XT?
Am I wasting my money? I've only played CS2 with my 5700X/4070 main rig before I moved it to live under the tv, hence wanting to still be able to play some CS daily at the desk with the MITX 2nd rig with the 165Hz 1440p monitor - I do not mind at all playing at 1080p low, all I care about is making sure I have no stuttering and a solid 200+ FPS for any dips so it always maintains the 165hz 1:1...
The plan originally was to eventually chuck the sig rig's 5700X into the MITX one day when I goto 5800X3D, a 5600X isn't going to break the bank second hand, so if it's worth it, I'll do it... Obviously I'll know more today once the 5700 XT arrives, but just wondered if there's 'THAT' much of a jump for a game like CS2? It's all I'll play on it, and some Halo Infinite online - which I'm not too bothered about, it's CS2 really I'd get a 5600X for IF needed...
Thanks!
