Anyone own a 5770 Vapour x

NP .... you thinking about buying one ?

I didnt buy from OcUK so I can't say what versions they are stocking but check the side of the box and if the Part Number is: PN 288-7D132-000SA with SKU number: SKU# 11163-00-20R then its likely to be the one with the bad BIOS (Sapphire admitted this and released a new BIOS) .... it means if you will have only 720 shaders showing in GPU-Z instead of the full 800 . All the info is on Sapphires website in the driver downloads section.

Should add both mine were the above and it was easy enough to flash them and they perform great ... fantastic card and superb in crossfire. :)

not to sure trying to wrap my head around this whole 128 bit vs 256 bit malarky
paper to paper the 5770 don't seem much of an improvement infact my 4870 has 35G/B more bandwidth (but what that means to me i have no idea)

other than dx11 or if your trying to save some power theres no reason to change from 4870, having said that ive got an asus one coming on tuesday :P

The 5770 is equal or better than your 4870, with crippled bandwidth, because it is superior in every other way. Get two for crossfire you wont regret it.:D
