Anyone own a lockup?

Am considering getting a lockup garage or possibly two either in the London area (not central) or the West Midlands. Any tips on how best to source them - have seen a few scattered ads online for them but the likes of rightmove etc.. don't seem to list them separately - would like to look at a bunch of ads ideally to get an idea of pricing, how to value them etc..

though do love the commentators who clearly haven't read the article... whichever developer buys that garage is likely to make a tidy profit after developing it into a two bedroom property

Some councils rent garages to the public for pennies if they are not used by council tenants. Could be worth a look.

My local council let garages for about £10 per week.

They mostly seem secure as they are mixed in with the housing estate which I live so there are always people about.

Some have extra locks installed.
