Anyone own a VW Touran?

I realise it's possibly one of the most un-inspirational cars on the market, but the 1.9TDI seems to review well (have seen the SE model), have a decent engine, decent mileage, vw reliability, and more importantly the rear seats come out (or lie totally flat) which is ideal for lugging the bikes/skiing gear/camping gear around.

Just wondering if there's anything "I should know", and what kind of price I should be looking to pay for a 2006 with only 30,000 miles on the clock.

No idea on price. My wife's 2007 plate just done 100,000 miles without any issues. It's a very practile car. As you said the middle passenger seats come fully out so you pretty much have a van. TBH would buy another.

It is a Caddy van with seats anyway isn't it?
It's not what you asked, but my folks have had lots of love for Renault Scenics over the years, similarly practical with seats coming out etc.

But I'd go VW as love Dubs

We've got one as a family wagon. Loads of space, fairly reliable and built like a tank. Ours has done 160k now.

Electrical gremlins are the biggest offenders, there's always something going wrong with ours on that regard.
