Just wondering if there are any bingo goers here?

I went last night and won £100. :D

Only problem was that it was divided between 3 of us.

I am.

I know the stereotypical bingo player is an old woman, however there are plenty of young people going these days (lads included).

We went after work just for a laugh, actually the person who took us goes regularly and he won £300 the other week. It's fun. :)

my mum and my sister go and I always have a little giggle when I hear them talking about it :D You know you're hardcore when you buy those little marker pens that apparently put a circle on your paper (books?) so that you don't have to and then you use terminology like 'getting a sweat on' or 'a sweat' :D
I used to work behind the bar at one of these places and I hated it :D

I like bingo .. it's funny :D

When we went down to see my Mum and Dad a little while ago we went to the working mens club around the corner ( cheap beer !! )

We normally go in the bar/lounge which is pretty much like a normal pub but my Dad's mate dragged us into the hall because they had a dude in a red spangly shirt singing ! ( think phoenix nights )

Anyway , they stopped the act to have their bingo .. I sneezed and about 8 old biddies turned to me and went SSSSSSSSSH !!! well that set us off and we were all giggling like naughty children :o

I went to bingo on my birthday, there was a crowd of about 12 of us, we got evils from the old ladies when we turned up late. Still, it was an enjoyable experience and the beer was cheap

Haha, well I don't intend to learn the bingo lingo just yet. :)

Oh yeah, if you are a new member to Mecca they give you a free drink and if you don't win anything on your first time, they give you a fiver. If that doesn't temp anyone, I don't know what will. :D

When i was about 11 or 12 I used to go to bingo with my granny. The most I ever won was £100, which was quite a bit of money for a 12 year old 13 years ago!

i went to mecca for the 1st time on thursday, our lass got a voucher for a free mp3 player when she joined, so, we joined, we went, it was fun, there are a really mixed age range in there, from 18 to 180, male and female, even some chavvy looking people lol. never won anything though :(

I used to work at Mecca bingo, started selling books & worked up to caller.

I used to play years ago, 12 books was the max I could play, but there was a woman I knew who could play 18.
