Anyone re-flashed EDID?

My projector's EDID information seems to have corrupted, a common problem with this model it seems. Having searched around it's been suggested to use powerstrip to re-flash the ROM but I'd rather a free solution

Anyone have experience with flashing EDIDs? Any software recommendations, particularly free?
