Anyone Read Dump Files?

Since installing my Asus P6X57D-E board last week I am having constant BSOD and Event Viewer just shows as kernel-power event id 41. Thinking I'd botched up my install I re-installed Win 7x64 last night and I'm still getting the error now. It must have something to do with sleep mode cos that's when the problem is occurring, when the pc wakes. All the drivers are the latest ones for the board and all my kit too.

I have a dump file zipped up so if anyone can read it for me and see what's causing the problem it would be greatly appreciated (can I attach a zip file to a post?). If it continues I'll just stick my Asus P6T Deluxe back in cos I never had any problems with that board.

I can, send it to the email in my sig or upload it and post it here so others can have a look too.

You'd have to upload it to your webspace/megaupload or somewhere.

Here's your dump:

I've never seen this error before, but "Probably caused by : hardware_disk" sounds like your hard disk could be failing. Have a look at the hard drive manufacturer's website for a diagnostic tool to check how healthy your drive is (most of them should have one).

How are your drives connected, IDA or SATA? Try replacing/reseating the cable just incase.

A repair on the hard drive might be a good idea too, open up an elevated command prompt (start > type cmd then press ctrl+shift+enter to run it as an administrator) and type:
chkdsk /r c:

It will reboot your computer and check the Windows file system is ok. It might take an hour or so depending on how big your drive is.

Whether or not it's the hard disk, take a backup of your files as a precaution either way.

You'd have to upload it to your webspace/megaupload or somewhere.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at this. I have a brand new Crucial C300 64GB SSD which is connected to the Marvell 6GB SATA slot on my board. I also have a G Skill Falcon 128 GB SSD which I now use for games etc and a normal 500 GB HDD. I'll check the connections and also get the diagnostic tools for the drives. I'll let you know how I get on!

I was searching for the error and came across this - is your main HD plugged into the first SATA channel?

When you installed the new mobo did you reinstall Windows?

Yes I always do that when I change a board. Installed it twice now and still the same.

PHO - The board has 2 SATA 6GB connections and the drive is plugged into the top one which I assume is SATA 1. The connections are listed as SATA 1 & SATA 2 but as they are the angled connections I'm never sure if 1 is the top or bottom! I'll try the bottom connection when I get home from work and see what that does.

Ok cool, just checking it wasnt some driver mismatch in Windows.

Best bet is to try Pho suggestion and report back then. After that maybe try a different SATA cable.
