They did a several page buyers guide for the Lupo GTI/Sport. I apologise in advance for the dirty engine bay, I dont use the car much, the missus uses it for pottering about

The lupo is supposed to be an involved drive? Something that is lacking in the golf.

Not sure if its the pictures off centre but looks like you suspension if sagging on the drivers side :)

I used to but I stopped now - it's boring and seems to have too much of an agenda and negative style now. I'll try it again in a few months when hopefully it'll have picked up a bit :)

You're missing a cover on one of you're numberplate screws.

Also what exactly is special about it? Not deriding this, just I don't see much special about it, it doesn't look modded or anything??

Rusty reg plate screw is letting the whole thing down tbh.

I'm not quite sure I understand this magazine though. This car is neither a practical or performance one

I don't see the OP claiming it's particularly special? PPC has a buyers guide section featuring a different car every month, so a standard (or close to) car is what they would be after.

I know now, I've never read it, just when he said it was in Practical Performance Car I was thinking that was more like a modding type "oooooh look at my car" mag etc. etc.

Ahh right, would have though the 1.6 GTi would have qualified more for the performance mantle though.

Indeed, the article itself is mainly about the GTI. I actually have a Lupo GTI too, but they wanted the sport. I have no idea why.

Im not claiming the car is anything its not, just that my car has been in a magazine and thought I would share it with everyone.

It's the complete opposite of the Max Power type magazines, the emphasis is on performance mods rather than show.

wouldnt know lupo 1.4 sports arent too shabby , yeah their not some 2 ltr turbo'd jap car but for a shopping trolley they aint half bad , and its very tidy for its age

You and me both. I used to subscribe, but you just seem to get the same articles over and over again and I got fed up of it. I flick through it now and again when I see it on the shelves, but I rarely buy it nowadays.
