My Google skills fail me today.

Our bank account shows a credit of £100.40 from INV SUPPORT TEAM this morning and I can't work out what it's for.

Usually Google has the answer for these types of things but I can't see anything. There's a few vague references to UK trade and investment but nothing that specifies exactly what the transaction related to.

Any ideas?

I've had something similar in the past, I never got to the bottom of it. Random deposit from a reference I could not decipher. Was going to contact the bank but never got round to it. If it were the other way round however...

is your wife on Onlyfans? I paid someone for some extra-mural activities on Wednesday, £125 and I believe minus the fees that'd be exactly £100.40 in her bank account.

Nice try OP. That's my cash and you know it! And the correct amount is £100,400. I'll PM you my bank details and if you transfer the FULL amount over I'll forget about this little incident. Cheers!

Ha, of course I should have known the replies I'd get!

Anyway...turns out it's 'compensation' for the loss from an RBS collective investment ISA that my wife had open in 2011, as the returns from it were less than just sticking it in a fixed rate ISA. Only a decade later than expected.

had any dealings with he law?
Could be Investigation support team.

The only results on google I can find for "inv support Team" seem to be police related

It was amazing how many people asked him ‘which bank?’, to which he’d reply ‘the bank you bank with’, and people would be like, ‘ok cool, let’s talk about my accounts’. No wonder fraud is so rife when people were that easily disarmed.

I bet you can't guess my PIN in three goes or less.

I got a few hundred from the bank once just before christmas... I called them to query what it was for and they couldn't answer, not sure if it because it didn't say so on the system or for legal reason.

Anyway it turned out to be for compensation over the amount they charged me on my overdraft/credit card when it was deemed illegal to charge intreast on top of intreast...
