Anyone recommend a decent set of cycling shoes (non clippy)

I've got myself a little gravel bike and have been pouring the miles on (did the Way Of The Roses last week, Morecombe to bridlington) but I have been using my 5-10 MTB shoes until now.

That coast to coast taught me one thing, the MTB shoes really make my feet hot and are very heavy, so I need a decent set of non-clippy shoes, anyone have any good recommendations?

Any reason you don't clip in on gravel?

I'm sill a pleb at road/gravel bikes and will probably end up falling over
I suppose clipon capable ones are okay if i can use them as non-clippy for now.
