Dear all

I am currently having to spend a fortune on photocopying for a course i'm doing. I have a old scanner but it is very slow compared to a photocopier - cheap UMAX from 1999.

Can anyone recommend a reasonable priced scanner which is just as fast as a photocopier but is not going to break the bank ?

Cheers

Your best bet will probably be a printer-scanner-copier combo; the cheapest are about £30-40. They're not as fast as a photocopier but the total time of turning it on and copying rather than going to a library/shop and copying there is okay.

It probably won't work out cheaper for a while - depending on the one you get it costs between 1p and 5p per page for black and white, so it takes a while for you to recoup your costs.

I got a Kodak ESP-3, it wasn't cheap at £80, but cartridges are cheap and it works out at about 2.5p per page for ink and paper when copying black and white.

Hi

I need the fastest scanner I can get really for a decent price as I've sometimes got a lot of scanning to do of documents of a large number of pages. I am happy to leave the documents as electronic copies if need be.

Cheers
