Anyone recommend a good set of tutorials or guides to using lightroom?

I have a few thousand pictures (probably 100-200 in each location (so same lighting etc)) and need to make them look better. Anyone know of any decent online tutorials for this? At the moment i'm just watching some random ones on youtube but they all seem a bit crap (don't really explain why they're doing anything... just changing the slider values until it apparently looks better)

Like a lot of photography, adjusting in lightroom is subjective - which is probably why your finding them lacking in explanation.
As long as you understand what most of the sliders do (a quick play could tell you that) the rest is up to you.

there is no one shot solution im afraid, just make sure you shoot in RAW if your using LR since your get better results during PP.

+1 For Adobe TV.

However poor Adobe is for some things, TV actually does a solid job of touring you through the features. Actual edits depend on what you like to do yourself.
