Thanks! Those are the exact ones i was looking at, BUT I read you can't clear/reset the energy usage data? ie: If you plug a different device into it.Bought some of these a couple of months ago:

I integrated to Home Assistant which shows daily totals/KWs as well as real time usage - works well!
You can do that? ie: An application can grab the data from the TP-Link somehow? If I wanted hourly, I'd probably just pull it into Home Assistant and render an hourly graph in Grafana or something
Well, can't get the Kasa ones from the african river (no stock), so I've gone for the ones in that video...Racking my brain overnight - actually have these plugs, just can't remember why they didn't work out - hence I got the Kasa ones... There's something buggy or missing about them if I recall. Will let you know if I remember!
Mysterae - why thank you!
Grrrr... Got these Teckin units today. Battled away and just couldn't get the energy usage feature to display in the app.Well, can't get the Kasa ones from the african river (no stock), so I've gone for the ones in that video...
Indeed, but they do give a reasonable current energy usage and a historical usage out of the box, for just £8.49but they are not giving recordable telemetry into an excel spreadsheet/cvs file, for a post mortem.
one of the links I bookmarked https://www.mysensors.org/build/pulse_power
Given TP-Link are out of stock, and Gosund are half the price, Gosund won.The TP-Link aren't bad - and far less likely to phone home to China or turn into a bot than no-name stuff.
The Gosund offer a simple view. Energy use values are shown live, but the simple graph probably resolves to hourly/per day. Nothing clever like Home Assistant etc.Bumping an old thread, because I just wanted to know what people use these days.
I'm looking for a simple plug to monitor electricity usage from the wall and display the usage as a graph. I'd ideally like the resolution every second or so, but up to a minute would be okay.
My ultimate aim is to be able to look at a graph on my phone later on and check the usage graph. If the data was stored on a memory card and could be easily imported into Excel, that would work too.
