2004 I think, I bought a Sapphire 9800 Pro from OCuK. Good card

The earliest I can remember is having a Voodoo2, I was too young to remember what I had before that but going from a 300mhz Cyrix and voodoo2 to a 500mhz Pentium 2 with a Geforce 2 was a hell of an improvement.

I loved the original Descent. Had a Voodoo card. Don't remember the details - But then moved on to CounterStrike 1.3. Jeeze, they were the days- could write key hooks for the process to bind ctrl and space at time differentials to long jump on Half Life Multiplayer. Awesome.

My first was an S3 Savage. Made UT '99 run butter smooth with the detail turned up.

Then I moved to GF2, and it's been nVidia/ATI ever since. I totally missed out on the Voodoo cards as I was too poor to afford one.

Oh the memories, the original Quake running in Glide (or was it D3D? can't remember now)

Glide.

It used a wrapper which I remember thinking at the time "this file is tiny..."

I was clearing out the loft a couple of days ago and found a ATI Rage Fury MAXX. I don't remember owning one but i must have been given some old pc bits by someone a few years ago. It was strange seeing 2 GPU's on the one board from such an old graphics card. Just found this mini review from April 2000.
