I had a game I got from the defunct high street store TINY I think it was preinstalled with whatever version of Windows that was on the pc.

You were in sort of hover cars that could go anywhere, and you had to travel around the map trying to crash into the oppositions cars.

Sorry that may be completely wrong but it was preinstalled, had hover dodgem cars and had puzzle like levels. Was 3D and it might have been able to go online. Thats all I remember.

I think about this game sometimes but the name escapes me.

Thanks.

Ahhh Hover. That and the Weezer - Buddy Holly music video bring back fond memories of Windows 95.

Aaah that takes me back - used to be some "internet explorer" companion disc for one of the versions of Windows 95 with that on, the hover game, hellbender and some underwater game on rails, the menu music was kind of epic to.

EDIT: Found the disc according to the description (doesn't work any more) it had:

Hover
Hellbender
Deadly Tide
Monster Truck Madness

The music I thought remember seems to be on youtube as the XP install music though so not sure if memory faulty in that.

That's fast! :D

Don't remember the game, the only game that came to mind was Wipeout.

Bought my first pc (Intel P90) way back in 1996, had Mechwarrior 2 free. Remember buying it after seeing flatmate firing Hellfire missiles that shoot high and drop onto the russian tank lids in Jane's Apache Longbow. Then he fired up Command & Conqueror: Red Alert, that was the final straw and I binned my Amiga 1200 for a PC!!
