Howdy,

Considering getting a 360, but want to know if anyone runs it on their PC TFT, and if its ideal?

I only have a 28" Widescreen TV, no HDTV so dont really want to run it on that. But my DELL 2407WFP supports HDCP and has componant on the back anbd considering running it through that... will that be ok you reckon? Or will my monitors higher res screw it up?

Like to know what monitors you use?

Your monitor will display it better than pretty much any other monitor out there. Connect it up via Component (or VGA) and you'll get a fantastic image. Via component you will get true HD.

Cool, yeah ill use componant as Im using my DVI for me PC, and dopnt want to get a switch, or keep changing it over.

I thought cos my max res is 1920x1200, it will stretch the max res of the game to HDTV... if that makes sense? As no HDTV's go up to 1920x1200 (I dont think anyway).

VGA better than component... really?

Well I get comp with the 360, so ill give that a try, if its not looking right then ill get a VGA I reckon.

Will the be any probs with the resolution? Or will it be ok?

I find that component gives a more vibrant image, whereas vga is slightly crisper on lines, but has more washed out colours.

Personally i prefer the vibrance of component.

2407 + VGA User here - looks awesome :)

I feel the need for some basketball....

NBA 2K6 looks awesome on this screen - sadly it artifacts on component at 1080i :(

Have you tried it since the last dashboard update? Colours on VGA are no longer washed out and are a lot more vibrant.

having just bought a hdtv/monitor (samsung 940mw) myself i've tried component and vga.

i have to say i thing vga is considerably better. the colours are fine. very bright and crisp, but the main difference is the text is much clearer on vga.

it's worth the £20 for the vga cable.

I'm thinking of doing this soon but my only problem is sound? TFT doesn't have speakers so how would I go about getting sound to the 360?

the microsoft vga cable has audio L/R cables as well so you can plug them into your hi-fi. It also has an adaptor allowing you to plug them into your PC's soundcard.

Does the Dell 2405fpw and 2407wfp give the same result as each other?

As i have a 2405fpw and using Component which i think is ace, and never thought about using VGA.
