Hey guys!

I ask as im an the brink of buying one ( dont know which yet, was thinking samsung 6430 ( think thats it)!

Any way was just wondering if those of you that have it are happy and think now is a good time to buy?

What games have you played in 3D?

Thanks :)

3d looks good, most the time.
Makes the game harder though (imo)
And gives me a headache after a while :p

Some titles (Black ops..) it significantly downgrades the texturing to allow the 3d effect, similar with Crysis 2.

yea i thought black ops wouldnt be the best as it was more of a tacked on feature! any impressions of things like killzone 3, wipeout of uncharted 3 beta?

As soon as some glasses turn up I will be. I hear it's excellent for gaming but some films suffer from ghosting and you lose lossless sound while in 3D.

My friend has it and its not amazing yet...

Like the technology with 3D and the PS3 isnt big yet, its just started out so its not going to be amazing in another year or 2 thats when things will get better.

Yea keep hearing mixed things but i guess a lot of it comes down to the actual tv itself and the game being played, and personal preference of course!

Not yet, I've enjoyed a few movies in 3d but the biggest drawback for me is the glasses (I already wear '2d' glasses ;p). Unless you buy a new tv every 2-3 years you might be better off to wait and see what happens with the technology. I think Toshiba are looking at 3d tv without glasses :)

As of monday I will be :P

I got my copy of Killzone prepared, as well as Wipeout, so I'll let you know.

BTW, I'm only getting 3D because I'm getting it dead cheap. 47" with the works for £700 odd. I wouldn't go above £1k IMO.

To be honest I don't find 3D gaming that impressive I need to try out a 3D bluray to see if that's any better.

gt 5 is really good you just have to adjust the 3d settings depending on which view i spotted all the info on the gt5 site and it really helped improved the experience for me .
wish all 3d games had parallax and convergence adjustment it would make it useful if your getting blurred 3d .
I did enjoy killzone 3 in 3d but i turned the 3d effect down the snow was to much at times :(

I'm using Sony's flagship model from last year and even though the 3D looks great I have trouble playing games like Killzone for more than 30 mins. Maybe I'm getting old and my eyes are struggling but after 20+ mins focusing on everything on screen gets a bit much. Games do looks pretty amazing though.

Ive been holding off but very interested. While I have no issue with wearing the glasses Im very prone to the "Crosstalk" that many of the LED 3DTV's have. From what Ive read Plasma models have less of this with 3D(Samsung/Panasonic).

However Im awaiting info on Optoma's new DLP Projecter.
Optoma GT750 (Announced at E3)
USA Price $799 / UK (TBA £600-£700 expected)

DLP technology has no "Crosstalk" issues which is a big bonus. This is amongst the first ever HDMI 1.4 3D ready & Nvidia 3D compatible model that has a short throw lense. Basically with a short throw lense you can get a 60" screen from only 3FT distance and a 120" from 6FT making it perfect for smaller rooms. Also with 3D the bigger screen has a vast impact on the 3D effect so personally I wouldnt even consider anything below 50".

Its due in August.
Reviews of the previous GT720 model were quite good and this is an upgrade of that spec with the HDMI 1.4 3D capability.
Looks to be an alternative to the Acer H5360BD.

I have but tbh after the first few times you end up playing without because of the glasses, its fun for a few mins but shooters are harder with the effect.

The only game thats done it well is GT5 and thats not enough to save it for me. allot of other driving games are better, either forza for a fun and playable online "sim" or TDU2 for a more arcadey game. If i want to show off a 3d game, GT5 or killzone3 do the job but i wouldnt by a 3d tv for games.

Frankly i wouldnt buy a 3dtv at all but my 50vt20 was the best 50" tv i could get and it had 3d anyway so ive tried it out.
Wouldnt buy a panasonic again though, my tv has broken twice in 6 months and im on my second set after they replaced the panel the first time. been great while its been working but my 5 year old sony has never missed a beat and this one cant seem to last more than 3 months.

House did see or experience the 50hrz bug on your plasma?

That was the reason I didn't get the VT20 but my friend owes one with no issues. These forums user can find problems with anything, I found the VT20 very good.

Games that are made for it are pretty good but the ones that arent are so so

Fifa is pretty good, Killzone 3, Wipeout HD too if you want to try some out before taking the plunge

No i had a half colum of dead pixels after about 3 months (new panel fitted), followed by a not working at all wouldn't even turn on and smells like its on fire bug.

The second one could well have been the service center screwing something up after the first one, they did say it was the first time they had had a 50vt20 in for a new panel.
why the replaced the panel and not the whole set the first time is beyond me.

Last night I had another go on killzone3 with the bins on and it is quite cool. Its a great set when its working

I have absolutely no problem watching TV in 3D, can do for hours, and have also never had a problem with motion sickness, but after trying black ops in 3D i was done in about 30minutes. Gave me a bad headache and just felt funny :p I might of been a mixure of concentrating so hard on particular spots of the TV (which you don't really do with movies/programs), mixed with the 3D that caused this.
