I've got the 40" Philips monitor at the mo, and it's just a bit too big for me as a single monitor, for the space that I have. I think it really needs to be curved at that size and I miss my old triple 27" monitor setup where the side ones are at an angle.

I've only got desk space 120cm wide to work with so I can't do 3x27" monitors again, so I'm thinking about switching to triple 24" monitors if I can sqeeze them in. The center one landscape and the two side ones portrait at a slight angle for a wrap around effect.

Do you you think I'll run into performance issues running triple 4k? I've got a 4790k CPU and a 7970 GPU.

Thanks.

Will you be gaming on them, or what?

don't think you can run 3x4k off a 7970, you'd need 2dp + hdmi (that would be @30hz), or a mixture of dp and hdmi

There is also this issue, you would be able to use the displays, but you couldnt get decent framerates on 1x 4k display, never mind 3 with a single 7970.

Nah, just the middle one occasionally. Not in 4k probably.

It's for productivity mainly. Will be using Adobe software and dev stuff in desktop mode mainly. Wondering if Win 10 with lots of desktop apps would have any issues with that many pixels to push.

Ahh, good point lude, you're right!

I've got a two mini dp, then an HDMI and DVI.
