Anyone sent 360 to be repaired, only to have exact same problem?

Had three ring of death thing so was dubious when I recieved it about an hour ago and the letter said the DVD drive had been repaired.

Does exactly the same, three rings after 5-10 mins in any game. Did the diagnostic thing posted in the FAQ and got code 0013 - which means overheating.

Apparently they're gonna do a rapid repair now, although it'll still take 2 weeks. Doesn't seem too rapid to me!!

Anyone else had this? Bloody annoying!

Yea I'm not happy I was buzzing when I saw UPS at the door. I'd only had live a few days as well, so I've still to play any games properly. It could be a blessing in disguise though, it might've distracted me from the revision and essays I should be stuck into!

The annoying thing is though that on the letter it says its been extensively tested for 2 hours. That's got to be lies!

I received a 360 back from Microsoft a while ago now it turned on then green lines all over screen and red rings appeared.

when mine went back for its disc scratching problem, it came back with 2 letters, one saying the dvd drive was fixed, the other saying the mobo was changed lol, it still scratched disc's so i guess they got it wrong.

i hope they get it right this time.

scratched discs? Mine refurb unit better not do that when it's returned. Did they replace your discs? :confused:
