As in title really, just wondering if anyone in watercooling still fabricates there own parts, could do with talking to someone about it ideally.

Long shot I know as it is not 2000 anymore, but someone may still be hanging about. :)

Can't think of seeing anyone recently mentioning making their own rad above and beyond car heater cores to be honest. People still have a go at machining their own blocks though.

Jokester

Its fairly rare to make your own radiator, i dont think iv ever seen a DIY radiator, if you have any old pictures or examples id love to see, im sure you could buy a heatercore for the a similar price to the materials and it would certainly outperofrm it.

Iv seen intercoolers that have been done, for use in phase change systems some pretty clever but none that would work as effectivly as a heatercore or radiator.

You see, I have a silverstone sugo now, and been looking high and low for a 'pancake' type rad, but just can not find one anywhere.

Used to be fairly common to make your own kit before overclocking became normal and watercooling mainstream.

Made one once, terrible, terrible performance as then I was in way over my head.

So easy now to just buy a high performance one of the shelf, was rare years ago. :p

that homemade watercoolin mod is just plain awesome! i especially like the res side panel window :D....lol ideas for next mod maybe

You want modding ideas, bit-tech project logs forum is the place to be.

I have a mouse with a dead scroll wheel thanks to that forum. :p

And i still haven't really modded anything... looking to make my own case sometime if i can work out how.
