Anyone tethering their iPhone?

Hoping someone might be able to help me.

I've successfully used both iPhoneModem and Netshare - that's not my problem. The issue is that the only way I can get either to work is if I set up an unsecured ad-hoc network in Vista.

For some reason the iPhone refuses to join a WEP (yeah I know it's worthless) or WPA2 encrypted ad-hoc network. It works fine connecting to my router's WPA network so it appears to be something limited to ad-hoc networks? Anyone know a way round this as I'm a little concerned about running a unsecured wifi network over which all my data is being sent when tethering.

I've only done it with OS X + NetShare, but I did use WEP when setting up the ad-hoc network and everything worked.

(It did seem a bit crap that the best security offered when creating an ad-hoc network in OS X was WEP. Though I don't know if that's some kind of technical limitation)

I wish I'd have got that App while it was available on iTunes!

I hope they make an official version! that, or the Air/MacBooks incorp a 3G modem.
