Basically as it says. I'd really like to give out some of my warcraft free trial invites. There are benefits for both people, but mainly you'd get some extra xp and a helping hand from me, and I'd get a mount if you stayed a couple of months.

I thought any one starting now would be 5 years behind the curve, even with the reboot. I could only imagine the amount of abuse an actual genuine "fresh off the boat" newbie would get from groups who are re-rolling their latest level 85 toon and know all the instances blindfolded.

It does become a job though, that's why I quit in 2005. Before it became too mainstream...

I think you just countered your own argument nicely lol. Since it became mainstream everything has become a lot more simplified. Most stuff you can get without even raiding now.
