I was in the gym yesterday and they have new exercise bikes which have a video screen and a kind of game built in to them... this made the exercise really enjoyable and got me wondering if there's anything like this available for home use.

After a quick google this morning I found the Wii Cyberbike but I want to know if it's of decent build quality to withstand a fair bit of use?

Anyone used one?

Could see how that would sell.

Reguardless of the bike itself though, id imagine it'll be one game only, near zero support like most of the other crap i have for my wii.

That said, if they came out with some semi serious racing games.. or better yet a Prop Cycle game... that amazing, but knackering arcade game from namco...

Id be sold on it.

Bad reviews on the bike though (ouch)

I remember playing Tour De France on the PS2 and really enjoying it - shame there no way to mod an exercise with a controller!!!

I remember using one of these bikes at the gym, about 10 years ago. They aren't new.. the games on them certainly weren't! Probably made for the bike.

You can get some turbo trainers which can also be plugged into a computer or TV and they have software that works as a virtual ride. A turbo trainer is basically a device that you attach to a normal bike so that you can use it indoors, obviously they are a pretty essential for professional athletes, but a lot of people also buy them for winter use.

Some of the ones available here have them.

Obviously they are much more expensive than a Wii game, especially if you don't have a bike. But they are obviously really good for indoor fitness and just as good as a top end stationary exercise bike, with the benefit that it's based around your own bike setup which you can also use on the road.
