Has anyone tried out the CronusMAX "dongle" at all on consoles? They're in the process of releasing an update for Xbox One to allow keyboard and mouse support. If it works I may be tempted (as I suck at FPS' on consoles).

Thanks.

As a long term keyboard warrior, I just can't get to grips with playing games like Halo etc. (I'm either pointing at the floor or at the sky 90% of the time). I believe they've been around for years, but thought someone may have tried one.

Not for the keyboard / mouse, but it's going to be a cheap way to get your old fightsticks / wheels to work.

I'm tempted to get one so I can use my 360 controller as I am struggling a bit to gel with the XB1 controller. The triggers and bumper buttons are quite uncomfortable/awkward for me.

I so wish I can get KB/mouse for FPS games for the console as my reaction time/speed/accuracy is severely limited by a controller.

I don't have a problem going from one to the other, you lot are all just rubbish, or old, or both. :p

Haha it's not a problem but I feel crippled with a pad. I can flick the mouse and look behind me and then flick again to go forward before you can make a quarter turn. That alone makes me mad with the pad. The fact also that I could assign all the numerical keys to a weapon to make them changed instantly also makes me frustrated at the pad.

I use GIMX (or I would if I were playing anything other than GT6 on PS3 at the moment). It's an excellent tool, essentially uses your PC as your PS3 input device, so you can use any form of control that you can use with your PC.

That's not true though if you play on high sensitivity you can be as quick with a pad, it just takes more skill.

For instance COD Ghosts defaults to something like 4 sensitity, I normall play at around 9, however if you look at Pwnstarzdotcom he plays at 18 and is quicker than most people are with a mouse..

My point being is that Keyboard/Mouse on a console is cheating as any idiot can use a keyboard/mouse and be better than an average player with a pad, you need to practice with a pad and you will get better.

I had hoped with the next gens that things like the Cronuxmas would not work :(

Not tried that adapter but have had a couple over the years for my 360. They were all rubbish!

Most games have a form of auto aim and acceleration that you just cant turn off. Had a few games that had negative acceleration. The way the mouse moment was images meant if I moved fast, on screen actually went slower

Totally with you on this. I cant enjoy console FPS as much with a controller. I wish consoles could use kb/ms normally and not have to be emulated with gadgets. Would def buy one if it had PS4 support, Killzone would be awesome with kb/ms.

Ive got the Xim Edge for PS3/360 and it works great on all the games that I prefer with a kb/ms.

Thanks for info, will keep an eye its progress.

EDIT: It seems that the Xim 3 / Xim Edge are also getting an update for the consoles or a new version - the Xim4 - for the new consoles.
