Anyone tried upgrading an EE contract?

Anyone have any experience with this?

I'm trying to upgrade my G/F's phone contract, she's with EE and her contracts run out so she wants to keep her phone and change from a 500MB/£17month plan to a 20GB/£22month plan. Now when I last upgraded on O2 it was simple, logged into website, select new plan, bam. But EE are making this way too complicated, I've selected the new plan to switch to but now it's asking for address to send a sim card too.

Is it actually going to send a new sim card by snail main for the new plan instead of just switching the plan for the existing/installed sim? Or is their system just ambiguous/****?

Thanks

Something worth thinking about, the deals direct from EEs site are usually God awful. I did my last upgrade through mobiles.co.uk and the contract was over £15pm cheaper (from memory, give or take) than dealing directly with EE for an identical package.

They will probably send a new sim either way, I think I've had a new one every contract.

I called them up and they offered 12 gig data unlimited everything else for £14 a month, which I thought was pretty good at the time. Perhaps there is better now. Tied me in for a good amount of time though.

Yeah, call up to cancel.

Yup, last two times, mine and the wife's, we had new SIM cards sent out
