There are so many of them

The first number seems to be some sort of series thing with the higher number being bigger ones

the 2nd number seems random to me, some have 2 digits, some 3

is there any sense to it ?

No competitors! ;)

I wouldn't bother with the patio cleaner really, I have one and it doesnt seem to work as well as the normal lance for getting moss etc up.

The patio cleaner is just to clean the decking which is not that dirty, using the lance often lifts the wood stain

oh and competitor rules allow links to these types of large sellers as long as the product is not similar to anything sold here, so there :p

i'd have to agree with Wicksta about the patio cleaner, it's pretty useless, even for decking, if anything, it leaves streaks where t's cleaned and missed bits. I found the vario lance to be best for cleaning decking / concrete paving etc.

to compare you need to look at :

Water Flow Rate in Litres Per Hour 360
Maximum Bar Pressure 120

obviously the higher both of those are, the better the pressure washer. Generally speaking the higher the first number in the model name, the more powerfull and higher up the range it is.

The problem comes with the fact they introduce new models as often as clothes catalogues do clothes - like every 6 months or something stupid. This can lead to retailers discounting older models, making higher performing models with high model numbers, cheaper than models with lower numbers and lower power because its last years model.

However pressure washers dont really have "this seasons style" so nobody can tell whats the new model and whats the old.

Just try and get as high a model as you can, for as cheap as you can, and use the above stats to compare with other models.

seconded. Its utterly useless. It never gets all the grim off, and you end up having to go back over it with the normal hose anyway. If you'd started with the normal lance to start off with, it would be a lot quicker.

Agreed. I'm actually going to throw our "patio cleaner" attachement away.

Must have used it all of twice.

Sorry to take this off topic, but was this a recent rule change? I have seen Amazon and eBay links blanked out because they are "competitors".

I'd much rather not have to word my way around retailers like those here (i.e. "Take a look at a popular auction site" or "Why not try find your desired fryingpan at a bookstore") ;)

Back on topic, let me know how you get on with the patio cleaner adapter. I'm interested in one, too

Patio cleaner was rubbish with my one, i just use the lance at an angle on anything fragile.

I just got the cheapest one that had money knocked off in the sale, i wasnt planning on starting a car wash :)

Have read here that Nilfisk are the 1's to go for, a well known catalogue store have a few of the Nilfisk range on offer at the mo.
