Anyone upgraded from 3700x to a 5700x

I've seen a good price for the 5700x and there isnt much in it in terms of performance compared to a 5800x one other thing that put me off the 5800x is it gets hotter as for the 5900x i just didn't want to spend that much. I was just thinking if i sold my 3700x it would maybe be a good value upgrade
 
Interesting looks like you got some good gains! I think maybe it's best I go for the 5800x or 5800x 3d but I think I will hold out for a bit and wait for a good deal

It's not an earth shattering upgrade but results in far better minimums in several games which leads to a smoother experience. For reference these are paired with an undervolted 6800XT, and SAM is also much more consistent with the newer CPU.

Choosing the 5700X was not about cost in our case, but about dissapated heat. We have two gaming PCs in a small room and didn't wish to add another watt of TDP to that enviroment.

thanks guys im certainly tempted with the 5700x im just holding out for a price drop
