This forum is going to be bad for my wallet :p

Really interested in the new sub-£800 4K HDR TVs, and I LOVE 3D. Didnt even think about Passive being easily possible.

Anyone do this here?

Yeah I noticed Samsung dropped support.

My thinking is that -

1: I cant afford OLED.
2: VR is still in its infancy.
3: Tons of good games support it and will continue to I'm hoping

So my choices for TV is either something like the samsung KS7000s, with no 3D, or something like the LG 4K HDRs (UH9000s? i dont know their model codes well yet) with 3D, that I can utilise right NOW, and for the future until VR becomes the norm & I can afford a decent OLED..

Thats my thinking anyway, thoughts?

I don't have a ps4. Got a dk2.

I thought that loads of compatible games out there? Like most of the fps games area pretty compatible right? Maybe I'm wrong.

I wish I could see a proper list of upcoming VR games, going through occulus home or steam is depressing sometimes.

I would happily pay for decent VR updates of older games, surely companies can see that as a massive money maker?

Went to local curry's to see the iq difference and no sets were on lol

3D on the sort of screen op's talking about is underwhelming.

3D on a 65" OLED is fantastic.

I am now looking at OLEDs since seeing them side-by-side in a shop. :) - how do you find the refresh rate, what do you play at? any truemotion or suchlike processing etc? 1080p@120hz?

I have the 77" G6, I'm still underwhelmed.

Did you like 3D glasses before? I have owned about 5 pairs of LCD shutterglasses since pre-2000 & have loved them all, apart from often fiddly setups. Or has VR taken away the thrill?
