Anyone use a business class ISP for their home internet?

Moved to a new house, out of the city, so instead of getting Virgin cable (152Mb) I'm now getting 5Mb ADSL. (how gutting is this news! http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18687587)

I was actually a pretty happy customer with Virgin. Due to the way they have their cable network only available to limited numbers I was pretty happy with the internet AND customer service.

Now I'm with Sky (12 months free internet, £16.40 a month line rental, £100 Tesco voucher in return) and after they managed to balls up my initial installation date (randomly got put back a week) and had the pleasure of attempting to contact their customer service team ("We are experiencing heavy call volume, we expect to answer your call in 55 MINUTES!" - no chance) I'm eager to look at alternative providers and perhaps pay over the odds to get the best service I can get.

Now, while I only get 5Mb ADSL I'm just going to stick with Sky. Even throwing money at some company won't make 5Mb a pleasure to use, but since we're getting fiber before the end of the year I thought I might try and go with a company that treats me with a little more courtesy.

The reason for this thread is to see if others have chosen this route for their ISP? I'm currently looking at Evolving Networks (https://evolving.net.uk/) who specialise in bonding connections, but they also offer a "single enhanced line" solution that effectively means they install all their bonding kit but you only have one line but offer the same level of business class support.

For a single line the cost is £65 a month (plus £17 line rental, so £82 per month) whether it's regular ADSL or Fibre so again, I won't be getting it while I only get 5Mb, but I'm seriously considering taking the hit when Fibre is an option.

So yeah, what are peoples thoughts - anyone taken the plunge?

Will give them a call!

Strange though - why is their residential more expensive than business...
