anyone use a CiBox ?

Cibox, it's the brand name of a monitor. I have also seen these going for good prices on another site. However I wonder if they are decent.

Hi there

We can get these but an rather dubious over the scarily cheap pricing they are.

When it comes to monitors I firmly believe in the more you spend the better panel you will get. Also got to remember with a monitor is you cannot upgrade it, so get one that you think will last. :)

I was wondering if anyone had experience with them, sometimes with these 'no name' makes they are just other manufacturers panels with a slightly different surround, in some cases making them absolute bargains - i was just wondering if that could have been the case with cibox.

My mate had his delivered today, its one hell of a big monitor compared to my ACER 19W. Very similar in style an stand though, seemed very sturdy, and image quality on both PC and 360 was incredibly sharp for the price.

Backlight bleed was fairly minimal and unintrusive aswell. Zero dead pixels. Seems like a bargain if your needs are no more than a single VGA.

trying to find out what panel is in these...

only thing I can find that might give a hint is: Pixel Pitch: 0.282x0.282 mm

Anyone got any ideas?

They will be TN panels for sure and without any form of overdrive they will struggle to compete with the likes of the Samsung 226bw/LG L226wtq. One site that has them for sale claims they are manufactured by Foxconn so that would go some way towards explaining the lowish price. Although, considering I see the above LG model for sale as low as £190, these Cibox ones don't seem that cheap.
