I watched this

I then tracked the best one down to amazon for £132 https://www.amazon.co.uk/GK2-Massag...1&keywords=massage+gun&qid=1588672082&sr=8-16

I then tried Aliexpress and saw it's only £86 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000046697497.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.7c864c4dVrOMkG

So I decided to order from there. Heard it's good for niggling things and recovery. I have a foam roller but thought this would be a good addition. Need to get a massage ball too they do loads on ali so I'll probably order from there. Like double linked lacross balls, etc.

Chiropractors used something similar on my back, it was so good but doesn't do anything for you long term, just short term relief, maybe it does help if you use it regularly

Not sure how you would use it on your own back though

arrived today - charging so not used it yet. looks good though and was fast shiping

You can do your own legs and stuff but I'll obviously just get someone else to use it on me.

Use a cheap car polisher. Same idea has been used for a fair few years and they work pretty much the same way.

last time i looked they don't have massage heads and they cost more. this was only £86

A quick Google found a load for around £22, but if you're happy then I'm happy.

I used to use one around five or six years ago and they work a treat, but stopped training as hard and didn't feel the need for one...

I've got the Theragun G3Pro, its nice to have but in reality it doesn't get used that much as its too noisy to use casually unlike a foam roller or some lacrosse balls.

@Psycho Sonny

How're you finding this? The website suggests it's silent but the above poster mentions his is quite loud.

My calves have been tight ever since i did a 21 mile run at the weekend and no amount of foam rolling/spikey ball work seems to be getting to the right spot.

It's not silent but not overly loud either it is really powerful though. It has 5 settings and for the first week I was just using 1 and now built up to 2.

You are better off if you can get someone else to use it on you.

I would say it works really well. It comes with many different attachments so getting used to works best and well is experimental.

Put it this way I have a mate who plays football for money. After he seen it in action he got one too.

I'd try and buy the same version as mine I noticed someone else bought one a week or two after this thread was made in the images of items purchased thread and it was an inferior model.

The fact I can only go to 2 of 5 shows the build quality of the motor. I like a firm massage as well and I've had massages in Bangkok, marrakech, vancouver, Las Vegas, etc and always opted for firm but I think when you have the option to be a bit less firm and are in control then I'm doing that. Hopefully get up to level 3 soon.

For calves it's really good and has a calf attachment. I tend to use 3 different ones on the calf area.

The only thing missing is massage oil. Might need to see if you can wrap the attachments in cling film or stick with the chrome metal versions for less friction.

I used it every day the first week I got it and now use it every other day. It's honestly the best thing I've ever bought from aliexpress.

Thanks

I assume yours is the PRO version then? Looks like it might've come down slightly as it's showing as $92

As tempting as it is to buy it from Amazon for warranty purposes and i have some gift vouchers i'm not sure i can justify spending almost double!

I always assumed these were just a sly way of buying a mega vibrator without looking like a pervert.

You mean they actually have some medicinal benefit?

I think you are referring to the wands.

This is a gun. Used by osteopath's, chiropractors, therapists, etc.

The wand yes is basically a sex toy you cannot even use it for massaging anything apart from a clit.

Yeah the pro version.

You can see it in the video I linked in the OP where he tests a load of them out.

You feel pretty much instant relief in sore areas after workouts. I think it's probably best used as a part of your therapy rather than sole therapy but it basically does a lot of the hard work for you. It's effortless to use.

Wow, well that came quick! It's been delivered in less than a week!

The second setting seems much better for me. The first feels a little "loose" as in the actual movement feels more disjointed. The second is much more comfortable.

I'm still a little nervous of the U shaped attachment for my back!

Could also do with finding a UK based PSU. I assumed when i selected UK i'd get a UK power supply, not just a US one with an adaptor!

yeah same for me. If you do find the correct PSU let me know.

that is supposed to be good for the spine and your calves. I didn't like it. I prefer the soft ball or the flat chrome one.
