Hey. I consider myself to be a fairly advanced user of Solidworks, and I've just been sent a application for a job using it, but it says I must have experience using the 'configuration module' within solidworks?

Never heard of it, any ideas?

Do they mean the configuration manager? I use solid edge, not solid works, but this sound like what it might be.

It lets you have various models of a part/assembly. Eg: one assembly is the same, but has a larger engine or something, so you just set that as a configuration iirc, and can then choose which to look at, instead of a whole new assembly.

I think that must be it, It kind of ties in with the rest of the job description as well. Cheers mate.
