Anyone use this?

Yes it helps annonymise your internet traffic by making it much harder to identify your IP address. The trade-off is that it's slow as hell, like being back on dialup when I tried it.
 
I had the same problem tbh, just awfully slow. It's good to try though, give it a bash and see what you think :)
 
If I understand Tor correctly it's only really protecting the identity of the node, and since it is a bit difficult to equate this to an individual person anyway I don't see much point as a general privacy tool.
