I found a bike, offered a price and the buyer has put the bike on hold for me so I can find a courier, has anyone here used one by any chance?

I used a courier last year for my gsxr... I dont have the name to hand atm as im at work, but when im home later, ill try and find it for you if i can.

They were very professional, the bike was properly secured.... they move bikes all around europe on a regular basis so are very experienced, and they werent too expensive.

The shop ive got it got a company to do me a quote and I got a bell off him just now going to have to go with them really not much of a problem save you some time looking for it green :P Thanks anyway!

No problem, just shout if you do need the name... think i still have the invoice sat on my desk at home lol.

Enjoy your new bike! What did you get by the way? :)

try either parcel2go.com or parcel2ship.com, I have used both of them in the past, then you can choose which courier you want to use and how much you want to pay

After months of searching and looking, messaging people and them not getting back to me getting messed around on prices I found a little shop down "saaaauth" that had one in.

Hyosung GT125 in blue/black this one to be exact:

I've used Shipley a couple of times, perfect on both occasions. Cost me about £70 to get a bike from east London to Bristol as a guide (always wait a while with Shipley, you'll get much better quotes after a few days)

Not much help but the guy that bought my Honda NS125R sent a courier for it & they were well impressive, Best of all was there folding bike ramp that came out the back of the van.
The guy handled the bike really well & secured it properly amongst 2 others he had collected. Down side was it was over 200 quid to get the bike from the Midlands to Brighton I think it was.

Personally any bike moving I've done I've used a local van hire company who has a Luton type van with a Tail lift. My local chap rents by half days so I get up early & get the van back to him by mid day. I take 2 old sofa cushions with me & lorry straps, The back is lent up against the side of the van with the cushions inbetween & fastened with the lorry straps making sure not to over tighten them & bust summit.
The tail lift is the key to a successful bike move. ;)
This way costs me around 50 quid. :)

I use a Xena alarmed disc lock.

I never bother with courier, I rode my new bike back from North Wales having got a train there, 4 hours is a good test ride ;)

I am however delivering my old bike to the new owner in West Wales its good having one last ride on it, the wife won't let me have both. *whipped*

I used Shiply.com, good service as they basically just farm it to contractors... I got "Eric" brought in from Ireland to Wales for £112 notes...

As for chains and locks, I've currently got Eric parked outside with a OXford Hardcore XL for £65 notes...
