Anyone used a personal print making website?

Hi,

There are a few pics I would like to make into prints to put onto my wall. Has anyone had any experience with doing this? Also any recommended sites?

I always used Pixaco, now owned by HP and for no apparent reason called snapfish. 17 quid for an A3 print, much cheaper for the other sizes.

Photobox all the way, especially when they have decent offers on (which is most of the time).

I've lost count of how many big prints I've had done but every single one has been spot on and delivered extremely quickly.

What sort of pixels per cm should I go to? Ie what sort of res is needed?

The large format photobox prints are printed at 254dpi (100 pixels per cm) so that's the ideal, your're looking at 7620 * 5080 pixels for one of the big 20"x30" ones. However there's no need for that sort of size, I regularly get 8Mp (3500x2300 or so) images printed to that size and they're spot on.
