i was letting the oc feature from asus auto tune up . it got as far as 3.9 ghz when i bottled it and pressed stop ....

will it crap out before my system does ? as my previous highest just doing a simple bios change was 200x19 for 3.8 ghz but that failed afte a while due to stock cooler

any help would be appreicated

hmm .. i let it run again and i chickened out at 240x17 .. it was 4.080 ghz

does it down tune or showthing, to try lower fsb and bigger multipler ?

I would not do anything until I had an aftermarket cooler.

Yes I have used it to test overclocks before writing it into bios but I do not use the auto overclock function. It does provide a solution but not an ideal one.

You then need to test it thoroughly with a stress test.

I use MWsnap to capture pictures or areas of the screen.

the cpu cooler is one in my sig .. its not stock

running prime atm .. cpu temp is 51 c .. according to asus al suite 2 monitor

I would not trust asus monitor over real temp or hardware monitor.

adn where woudl i get that info from ?

btw my mobo bios is 1201 .there are a few revisions .. is it worth me updating ?

also primes been running with 4 workers for the last 2 hrs @ 3.9 ghz can i assume its stable ?
