Just after a bit of info on EVGA's step-up program, out of curiosity as my girlfriend's got an EVGA 8800GT coming her way. They don't really say a lot about it on their website.
Next year she will probably want to get an nVidia 9800 or whatever they decide to call it.
Do you think she'll be eligible for it? Is it only certain cards that are eligible (maybe only high-end cards, I'm not sure the 8800GT is classed as one)? Or maybe they have to be a minimum of 1 year old before you can step-up or something?
Does their step-up thing work out better than just auctioning off the card and buying a better one?
Do you have to send your card off somewhere silly like Germany then go 28 days without a computer whilst waiting for your new card?
