They are a building supplier,

I just wondered how they work I plan to give them a ring but it's hard to get ahold of someone it seems and they don't reply to emails. May have to drive down to their shop.

Bit of random question but anyone used them before? how do they work can you actually go down to their warehouses to buy stuff?

Looking to buy some insulation, rockwool to be precise and I don't need loads of it just like 1-2 bags. Most suppliers make you bulk order or charge you 20 quid delivery for a bag of rockwool which isn't THAT big and doesn't weigh that much...

Yep, bought a tonne of sand, some cement and some patio slabs from them about a year ago.

They're a typical builders merchant (well our one is at least) in that you drive in there and think you've take a wrong turn because you're in the yard with forklifts all over the place and bulk bags piled all over the place. There's a tiny office in the corner where where you can order your bits and bobs. The guy in our store was very helpful as I think it was obvious I wasn't an expert patio layer!

Sweet I will have to go down there and take a look.

B&Q and Wickes have got massive piles of Rockwool

I need the panels not rolls.

I am a sound engineer and Rockwool is very good to treat acoustic problems in a recording room.

Otherwise I would buy off bnq etc I chedk all of major ones homebase wickes etc none sell rockwool RW3 50mm thickness (Specifically because its sound absorbing properties are best)

unless someone knows any other major home DIY shops that would be good so I can check them out.
