Anyone using a steel series xai?

Yes I have one.

I am left handed and I love it. Simple design, good weight, simple to program the DPI settings, no gimmicks, cannot really fault it. :)

I use Win7 64 and the drivers have caused me no problems at all. Found it very simple to set up to be honest.

I also use a cloth mat (Everglide Titan) and cannot say it tracks poorly at all. I know the official mat for it is plastic, but I have experienced no problems in the six months I have had it.

Same here to all points.

Drivers have been fine for me on Win7 64.

Using it on an Everglide Titan and it's basically perfect aside from the odd cat hair now and then, but that's not the mouse's fault...

I found one for 30 quid. Worth a punt a suppose. I have been through a lot of mice since my DA 1800 died about 5 months ago. The respawn i got was faulty and i didnt want to risk buying another one. I have had 2 roccat kone mice which have broken on me. I didnt like the G500 i sent it back. My luck is rotten at the moment. The xai however looks like a nice shape and i hear its pretty much close to the DA.

Well worth £30. I paid £60 and have never looked back. :)

v nice mouse. great feel, weight and look. reliable too i'd say. never used the extra buttons myself. worth it overall. just be warned that on some mobos with old bios version it can be seen as a bootable hard drive when plugged in so when you try to boot you'll get an error. they acknowledged it but said it was mobo manufacturer's fault. only fix is to update your BIOS. works fine after that.
