Anyone using a T240HD + PS3? Problem :-(

Hi all,

I've recently put together the above setup and for some reason my picture quality is absolutely appalling, and I can't figure out why- colours are washed out, textures are blocky and there's aliasing like I've never seen. Im having a hard time testing stuff as I don't have another PS3 to hand, nor another monitor with HDMI OR a spare HDMI cable...I was just wondering if anyone else has this setup and if they have this problem at all? It looks almost like the output resolution is through the floor and being stretched to high heaven...but it's a 1080p game. I do notice the PS3 makes my monitor flicker as if changing resolutions when I turn the game on though (and it seems to startup in 1080p just fine).

Any input whatsoever would be very much appreciated, I'm tearing my hair out here, never had this problem on my old Dell...

Cheers,
Adam

edit: Just as an aside, I bought this monitor because everywhere I read said it supports 1:1 pixel mapping, does anyone know how to turn this on? It's not the 'Just Scan' option because 720p games are filling the screen.

The chances are is the ps3 is not picking up the rez that your screen can run at. You will need to go through the video setup on the pc to make sure its enabled to run all rezs. When changing from one screen to another youl find that the ps3 will default to normal.

By 'go through the video setup on the PC' what do you mean? :)

Mods can delete this, I accidentally posted it in the wrong forum and I've since opened a similar thread over in the Console gaming section- anyone replying should direct their advice that way :) thanks a lot
