Just got myself an Akasa Integral S USB3 caddy - this one.

The idea was to use it with a MacBook Air but I can't get the thing to work. I have a Mac formatted HDD in a USB2 IcyBox and that works fine, recognised instantly using a single USB cable. If I put the same HDD in the Akasa it spins up fine but nothing is recognised. Annoyingly if I plug the Akasa caddy into a PC it works fine.

Any ideas?

Sometimes. I'm beginning to think that the cable's iffy. If I jiggle it about I can get the drive to be detected but almost instantly it's dropped and OSX gives an error warning about unsafe removal.

If I use a USB2 cable it's fine but obviously slow.
