Hi,

Is anyone using an Enthoo Mini XL? Do you have micro and itx system installed? How practical is it?

Thanks!

I've got one of these and I got the ITX kit for it too. It seems a bit strange buying it and not buying the kit I think, which begs the question, why didn't they just put the kit in with the case anyway?

It's an excellent case, plenty of room and you can easily accommodate two systems. I plan on doing a build log in the project logs forum after Christmas once I've got my mATX components. My intentions are to have an ITX based system which is 100% silent low TDP work only PC then a custom watercooled gaming system.

One thing I would mention is give some serious consideration to how you're going to power each system. The positioning of the PSUs could be much better. My ITX system has a DC jack and uses an external power brick because I didn't want an SFX PSU in the base of the case.

I just watched a video review which pointed out the same thing regarding the ITX kit and power.

I'm liking the idea of it, but might be better off with a seperate ITX case this time around...

I have the Enthoo Mini XL, I had planned on a custom water cooled system but I am thinking of building a second system or NAS in there after Xmas.

I usually have a couple of PC's running, it's handy when working with Linux configs, playing with server OS's and even a general PC at hand as you game, or if your kids or partner want to play the same game with you.

But the multiple cases, ATX and Micro ATX bug me. The secondary system can easily be Mini ITX, as for the SFX PSU, well I do not think it looks that intrusive, and if it can be fully modular with braided custom cables it will look no worse than some systems with a PSU at the bottom.

My main worry would be how close the bottom mounted SFX PSU gets to any future GPU's.
