Hello,
I just upgraded to befibre 900 up 900down. Its pretty good but there are some issues. The speed isnt consistent and it drops to zero and goes back up again. It averages around 50mb/s.
The real issue is the router, its a "heights" router. Currently after a week or so im on my second router. I cannot change the password for the admin access and i am unable to turn off the wifi.
i have been in contact with befibre and the staff seem nice, but they are not technical, what happens is they forward your issues to a tech team, who then respond some days later (72)hrs.
i feel that they may not be able to solve the issues with the router and was considering changing up to something else. Its been a long time since i had my own router (probably 10 years ago virgin with a netgear which was good connection was rock solid)
i wonder could anyone recommend a decent router to change to possibly with built in vpn?
any help greatly appreciated

I'm getting good down and up speed. However, I was also wondering about why the password can't be changed. If the ability is disabled then why is the option not hidden in the menu.

The Heights GUI is awful so I'm surprised BeFibre partnered with them.

interesting,
they have been faffing about trying to "fix" it. I smelled a rat, so i went ahead and got another router (gl-inet flint 2 after some searching around ) , seems very nice and excellent gui. I dont trust that heights router , the username and password is on the box and cannot be changed, also the wifi cannot be turned off. They must know about this but were reluctant to tell me the situation. I dont know , but i suspect it may be used in conjunction with smart meters and other possible things in the IOT field, but im just guessing. Any way did you find that you cannot turn off the wifi?
