Just a quick one for anyone running WinXP/Bootcamp on their MBP.

Could you have a look under device manager and see if you have any unknown devices.

After installing XP I've got a USB Human Interface Device (Can't start code 10), a PCI Device (No Drivers) and an Unknown Device (No Drivers) with yellow blobs next to them.

Would appreciate the comparison.

Cheers

Sounds about right. I've got the HID and PCI devices. It's an original 1.83GHz MBP.

BootCamp should install the drivers for the chipset, graphics, sound, Bluetooth and iSight.

I'm using the latest one. 1.1.2 IIRC. Only difference I can find from the original rev is the iSight driver and Apple Keyboard thing.

Using 1.1.2 on a 2.16ghz CoreDuo MBP.

Its missing;

Location 0 (IR Sensor)
PCI Bus 0, device 7, function 0
on Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27BS

Just wanting to make sure that I'm not missing anything I shouldn't be as last night I suddenly started loosing all mouse/keyboad input whenever I tried to enter any levels playing BF2.

Also I haven't been able to use the line-in for !£$% in either OSX or XP, which I haven't been able to figure out.

i use the line in all the time... you have to select it to take line in rather that the microphone ( default )

well after a complete wipe and load i now have xp recording sound at a half reasonable quality via the inbuilt mic. however when i plug in an ext mic into the line-in i get no input at all either in osx or xp.

even if i do change the input over ;)

what am i missing here?
