hey guys,

my friend has offered me two XFX HD 7970 DD GHZ edition GPUs for a deal i am really thinking about taking.

im just abit iffy about the coolers running them in Xfire, have any of you guys got a GPU with this cooler? if so theres two things i want to know:

1. is it quiet?
2. are they good coolers?

cheers guys

Tommy has. He didn't get on with it at all I don't think.

From what I have read they aren't the coolest and they aren't the quietest either. They're a budget solution.

At stock there very quite and keep card nice and cool. BF3 never passes 58c

But OC to 1100/1500 and noise level does get quite high anything above 65% is quite loud. But I use gaming headset so noise no issue for me.

Temps once OC BF3 stays around 65c and other games like Tomb Raider/sleeping dogs etc pushes temps higher around 73c

One thing to also think about is make sure the card is the voltage unlocked version, because I had my card since release and they was unlocked, but now when buying they are locked.

If I could go back to release of the 7000 series I would have went with the gigabyte card, But I have zero regrets so far.

Thats after couple rounds bf3. No issue with temps on my card, but noise at 64% is quite loud but using a headset not a issue :D

noise is very important to me and i like to push my GPU's :D

so i should let these cards pass then, as i would run them together

im running a 6990 atm and its really noisy, when i upgrade the card i want the quitest i can get without watercooling
