Anyone using PS3 over component on dell 24"?

i have a ps3 and a dell just not had time to hook it up to it i have it through my sony bravia atm if i get time over next day or so ill report back

I'm using mine on the 2405 and so far it's damn good, don't know why but it looks better than using component on my XB360.

Using an official PS2 lead, tempted to get the new official PS3 one but reports so far are that the quality isn't any different.
 
I'm using my PS3 on my 2405 with a store brand component cable from a well known high street store. The picture appears very slightly grainy and it's really bugging me, it's hard to spot but I can tell it's there.

Just wondering if it's the cheapo cable I bought.

Another annoying thing is it doesn't seem to want to do 1080p over component :(
 
It's the Dell's fault about 1080p over component rather than the cables or the PS3.

Picture is fine on mine from about two feet away. I'm using the non-official PS2 component cables and they seem to be OK despite feeling very cheap. I was going to get the official ones but not sure I really need to do as I'm trying to save up for a HDTV with HDMI capability next.
